Though I'm not the biggest fan of Santa Cruz (I think it's a fun little diddy, good for what it is), the production on it and the way the band sounds is VERY promising to me. The piano was a very nice touch.

i like it - nowadays - when ed doesn't try to be who he isn't anymore. and when there's piano that matters and an electric 12-strings guitar, it all makes sense.

Exactly. If the apply this approach to the new album with better lyrics and more interesting songs, we are in for a treat.
