i remember i got the No Code vinyl more or less after it came out, on a whim, just so i could see a bigger version of the No Code symbol when i unfolded the packaging.
as for Binaural, i didn't pick one up becaue the album didn't impress me initially. now i wish i had Binaural and feel lucky for getting No Code for costs.
but why are they so rare? of all the albums, it seems that both of those would be the LEAST likely, imo, to be "sold out" (with Riot Act being third on that list)

I don't understand why the 10C doesn't just make another pressing of these LPs. They have obviously re-pressed the fisrt 3 albums, as they are still for sale in the good section. Why not redo these albums?
No Code's sales were pretty unimpressive as were Binaural. So they just stopped printing them. Riot Act and Lost Dogs will probably be next so I'd still pick them up while you can!

That's just my guess, I could be wrong.
Thats a good guess. I agree. Luckily I got both records a couple years ago for reasonable prices...i had no idea they would be so in demand (in the PJ Community at least) I doubt they'd bother reprinting them too.

It's because Binaural is out of print; same with Live on Two Legs. I don't think No Code's out of print yet but it's getting there. There are just fewer of them around so the market pushes the prices up.

I do believe No Code is out of print as well.
That wouldn't surprise me. I'm glad I have it. If you can only own one PJ album on vinyl, it should be No Code.

That's the entire reason I got mine back in the day, for the large artwork.
It's hard to beleive that there was a time when they were trying to practically give these things away because they sold so badly. I got mine at Tower Records a year after it was released, and they had a display up at the counter with dozens of them for $10.99. I decided to grab it just for the hell of it. Pretty glad I did now.

I got No Code brand new at Tower for around $11.99 in 1999. I remember in the fall of 2000, they had Binaural LP's for $9.99. I didn't buy one because I figured I could just get one whenever. Now it's the only fucking PJ LP that I don't have (including LO2L and Benaroya).
Someday I will own it. Someday.
