it'd be the ideal (and only really great way) to show their history. Hope to God there's no voice over...I'm having nightmares about 'from the ashes of mother lovNNNOOOO!!' sorta thing
just let the music do the talking..

Not really. Just obvious they were always gonna use that template as much as possible. Especially with Crowe at the helm.
But as I said, it will annoy us more than please us. We'll be left wanting more of that footage. The only comfort is Crowe likes doing special editions. Hopefully the dvd release has a lot more on it. Pj being Pj, I dont see that happening sadly.

no they'll release a bonus DVD as part of a super deluxe box set with the soundtrack on vinyl, a bonus show on vinyl (maybe something from PJ20Fest), and CD accompaniments of the vinyl

Well, there's already going to a PJ20 DVD, soundtrack CD and big glossy hardcover book - I presume they'll do some sort of deluxe package for all of that.
I won't buy any more of these album reissues (I regret even buying the Ten one), but I'll probably buy that if it's got cool stuff in there.

I haven't bought one yet, because I think they've both kind of been a waste of money. With that said, knowing they're a waste of money, I'll probably buy just one of them. And since I've resigned to buying just one of them, I'll probably make it whatever one contains Yield.

I just saw the Foo Fighters documentary and thought the way they handled the personnel changes in the band was beautiful-- it was an honest, even-sided look at when things simply don't work out. I hope they treat Dave A. with some respect.

I saw that for the first time a couple weeks ago, I thought the whole thing was really well done.

Same. Agree with you Spenno. Think there'll be some flashy must have box to go with all this. I've mailed 10c and asked how about they do an affordable bundle of the book/soundtrack/dvd..they said you never know.

Me too.
Not a huge Foo's fan but was this on DVD or one of the cable channels? I like to watch that kind of stuff.

It has aired on a couple of cable channels, Palladium is one of them I think. It hasn't been released on DVD yet.

It was in a few small theaters. I don't know if it's still showing. There was, like, ONE show in Raleigh.
The DVD is also going to be sold exclusively through Best Buy. I'll check the release date when I get home. There was a slip of paper in my Wasting Light CD.
