Wouldn't PJ's 20th fall somewhere in 2010, or am I getting my numbers wrong?

First show ever was 10-22-1990. And If i remember off hand, they did have a few more shows after that as well.

The reissues and Film are for the 20 year anniversary of the release of TEN...not the 20 year anniversary of the band.

I think Pearl Jam -the band- turns 20 on October 22, 2010.

Quote:
Stone Gossard recently did an interview on WMMR in Philadelphia. He mentioned how the instrumental to The Fixer originally had a lot more going on, and that the rest of the band gave the demo to Eddie Vedder and he used Pro Tools to basically cut it down to a 3 minute pop song, and that everybody was thrilled with Eddie’s new version. Stone also mentioned that the artwork to Backspacer is very colorful and different. He also talked about the Pearl Jam film Cameron Crowe is working on and how it will include over 20 years of Pearl Jam footage that Crowe has. Stone also talked about how Pearl Jam have always been determined to not break up and how not wanting their favorite bands to break up growing up motivated them to stay together, even through hard times. i am really excited for this but i really hope they spend as much time on post 2000 pearl jam as they do on 1992 pearl jam. or at least not re tread over everything up to 1995 and quickly skim over everything else.

but i suppose most people dont care about anything post 95.

Agreed. Would like to read an in depth Pearl Jam book that didn't end with No Code as well.

2 years...and hopefully you will have one :)
more later... :heartbeat:

Lads, have you ever read any of Crowes work? he'll be comprehensive and complete in his approach..there would be no point whatsoever focusing on their first three records, in fact I can see Ed in particular balking at that notion given what he went through with fame at the time. I'd say they'll want it to focus more on where they are now and how they got there.
This is gonna be awesome!

I just hope the phrase "rose from the ashes of Mother Love Bone" is never uttered in this doc.

Other than that, I am totally on board.

Rumor has it, that if it was in the old TSIS archive, it's in the current 10C archive.

I know; I was in favor of keeping that database but of course I'm not one of the powers-that-be.
