You're zeroing in on the Bruce Fairweather thing as if it's the only thing he talked about. But it's not. There's a lot of posts in that silly thread to take issue with. This one's a little too reasonable and informed.

forgot to say this too when i was dismissing your argument:

the bruce fairweather thing is THE takeaway from that guy's post b/c it's emblematic of his larger, tired criticism.

mmmmm. emblematic.

this whole thing is bisexual at best. Maybe one day bruce fairweather and whats his nuts (drummer for brad) can make a documentary about how they got screwed over.

I just came out of my 49-post retirement (after being sick of all the idiocy) to say:

evensflow ROCKS!

You are restoring my faith in humanity. I love you. That is all. Back to retirement (unless a thousand "evensflows" take over the board).

i dunno where to put this..interesting read from the pit

today as I was unwrapping my new Pearl Jam Twenty record ( ) I happened to look at the matrix number etched on the run-out area of the record and noticed a peculiar message of "1 2 3 o'clock 4 o'clock rock". I was a bit surprised, so I looked at the others and noticed there were 'hidden messages' on all of them. This made me take a look at my other PJ records and, low and behold...there were messages on some of them as well!

Here's what I found...

Eddie Vedder-Ukulele Songs
-Side A - WITH LOVE TO LEILA AUSTIN & EDWARD LEE. ENJOY YOUR RIDE.
-Side B - DON'T DELAY, LEARN TO PLAY, START TODAY.

PJ-White Backspacer
-Side A - GRAMMA MARGE, DAUGHTER OF PEARL 1918-2009.
-Side B - R.J.O.K.V.H.J... M.R. FOREVER

PJ Twenty
-LP 1 Side A - 1 2 3 O'CLOCK 4 O'CLOCK ROCK
-LP 1 Side B - THANKS MOM AND DAD
-LP 2 Side A - BE LIKE WATER BE LIKE WIND
-LP 2 Side B - NOTHING CAN SURPASS THE MYSTERY OF STILLNESS
-LP 3 Side A - OUR BIGGEST ACHIEVEMENT: ASSISTING TO FREE THE WEST MEMPHIS THREE
-LP 3 Side B - LIVE ALOHA EVERYDAY. MAHALO NUI LOA .... PEARL JAM

The original pressings I have of Vitalogy and Yield have nothing on them.

This could be a new "Pearl Jam vinyl etchings" thread...or go in the PJ20 soundtrack thread.

But I don't think it belongs here.
