posted by Tim after everyone complained about how bad the lack of info sucks...

Pearl Jam is busy planning out the remainder of the year, but beyond the Europe shows, the 2 U.S. Festival appearances, and the Toronto and Chicago shows, nothing has been confirmed to date. The band would like to let you know that there are tentative plans to play a number of shows in the Western U.S. In the early fall. Please keep checking pearljam.com for the latest official news.

maybe they got the message.

I'm actually kind of relieved they're playing out west this year. After the upcoming EV east coast solo tour and other expenses, I can't afford more shows so soon.

Wow. How hard was that?

Props to Tim and 10 club.
Of course, I just bought my Chicago tickets. But this is EXACTLY what I'm talking about.

This was SO easy. If the west coast falls through, fine. It won't. But I'm really happy they posted this.

he said 'tentative plans' so that might not happen.

But at least we can make our own decision on taking the chance (if they'd said 'that's it' I might have come to Chi/TO just so I can see my friends.. but I rather do West so I'll sit and wait and if it doesn't happen..well, I've got the Euro dates anyway :P ).

took them a while to get the message but at least it got there in time..

TwoFeetThick, April 22

To be fair, I probably should have posted it on TSIS, but it wasn't very much of a commitment.

Seems to me a lot of fuss over just two dates.
Let's hope the remaining shows (assuming there are remaining shows) won't be announced in such a piecemeal manner.

West in Fall = good news.

I have too many commitments for June, July, and August with the Wilco and Phish tours. I will now probably forgo the Outside Lands Festival and wait for a proper concert somewhere in California in late 2009.

Yeah.

Hopefully by the time it's announced I will a) have a job, and b) it will not be in another state. :|

If they're ever going to play Phoenix again, this would probably be the year.

Not like there's going to be hockey being played at Jobing.com ... maybe Pj will just do a week-long run of shows.

Yeah, I don't think they would have to worry about scheduling conflicts with the Coyotes this fall.
