I like it, but I almost always skip it. :| Most people are really into it though, so much more than me. Or so it seems...

don't feel like home, he's a little out...
and all these words elope, it's nothing like your poem
putting in, inputting in, don't feel like methadone
a scratching voice all alone, there's nothing like your baritone
it's nothing as it seems, the little that he needs, it's home
the little that he sees, is nothing he concedes, it's home
one uninvited chromosome, a blanket like the ozone
it's nothing as it seems, all that he needs, it's home
the little that he frees, is nothing he believes
saving up a sunny day, something maybe two tone
anything of his own, a chip off the cornerstone
who's kidding, rainy day
a one way ticket headstone
occupations overthrown, a whisper through a megaphone
it's nothing as it seems, the little that he needs, it's home
the little that he sees, is nothing he concedes, it's home
and all that he frees, a little bittersweet, it's home
it's nothing as it seems, the little that you see, it's home...

are u guys kidding me. these are some of the best lyrics i have ever heard. is it a little slow?yes. but after a while it will grow on u

agreed and same thing for me with the binaural album in general. mostly i don't have the urge to listen to it but there have been nights where i look at my cd collection and just have to listen to binaural and it always sounds brilliant then

I have always liked that song. :P

Eddie, 10/22/00: "We'll dedicate this next one to all the fake pyramids, the fake shark reefs, and the fake fakes here in Las Vegas, it's called Nothing as it Seems."

I like it way better live...

In general, I am not as into Mike "big guitar" songs...(yellow ledbetter being the exception).

Same with sleight of hand...I did not like it until I heard it live...

I don't like the song too much. It's one of my least favorite songs on one of my least favorite Pearl Jam records, that says it all I guess.

all of you haters out there...

i DARE you to listen to Detroit 00 version of Nothing as it seems..if you dont honestly shit yourself...you are not human...

and it IS DIFFERENT>..

ed sings it different at the end, an octave higher..after the band scrwes it up. mikes delay wailing like a siren..cameron honestly hitting the drums harder than ive ever heard. yes...its that good..and is different...for the love of god..listen.
