No, Ed is going to start using computer pitch modulation on stage.

They don't have that many songs in standard pitch as it is.

Yeah they do. The majority of their songs are in standard E.

They use drop D a handful of times for songs like Go and Habit and they tune one full step down for Evenflow.

Then there are a few interesting tunings that they use for a few songs like Daughter and Blood and maybe Oceans.

But literally 90 or 95 percent of their songs are in standard E.

For the record, I hate the drop-tuned "Life Wasted" they've done the last few years.

Yeah? You really notice a huge difference? I wouldn't have really noticed if someone hadn't pointed it out to me. Then again, it was never really a song I cared for or listened to much in the first place. But if they suddenly down-tuned Go or Animal I would notice in an instant.

One of the times that they tried out the down-tuned Evacuation, it came out rather well. That is one song that could certainly use it. Maybe Ed should also try out down-tuning Lukin to see if he can sound a little better on it.

Have their been different versions of it? I thought Stone used a "half capo" on his guitar and left his open 6th string ringing out.

And even though they might normally used standard tuning on their guitars, they mostly play in the key of D to suit Ed's voice, don't they? Even if his voice isn't what it used to be, he can still sing in that key, so it'd be kind of surprising for them to suddenly change things up for the next tour.

I wouldn't mind if they just dropped all the tougher songs to sing. If we made a list of all the songs Ed struggles on, I probably wouldn't be sad to see them go.

Jeff has 2 Modulus Jazz Bass, the yellow one with the standard tune and the grey one that is on D.

On what bootleg show is there a recording of a down-tuned Life Wasted that I could listen to against the album version?
