When I first got lost dogs I didnt want to play it out so I shyed away from some songs. By doing this I knew that sometime later down the road I would discover a gem or two. Well, lastnight that gem turned out to be hold on. Ofcourse I've heard it before, but lastnight I listened to it. Wow, what a great song.

gave her love away
put it in my pocket when it should've been framed
oh, it lost its shine

wonderful lyrics

I have to say that it has always been my favorite song on Lost Dogs. The combination of Undone, Hold On, and Ledbetter to end disc 1 is awesome.

definetly one of the best lost dog's out there.

should have made Vs. it would have blended nicely with the rest of the album.

same thing with me. I just started listening to it a lot, most of lost dogs im just now getting into a lot more. Especially hold on, in the moonlight, alone, and the entire second disc...minus sweet lew and bee girl and last kiss.

funny that being here on RM has made me go back and listen to all the albums i managed to buy since i became hardcore, while i was on my own. all i knew was i had to buy all PJ albums that i could lay my hands on, but you guys have been educating me a great deal. about a couple of months ago i went back to Lost Dogs and was mesmerized by Sad, Alone, Other Side, Undone, Hold On, my favorites now alongside Footsteps (#1), Hard to Imagine, YL, Dead Man, the hidden track and Down.

I like this song. At times it really soars, but in other places the music seems, for lack of a better word, clumsy. I don't know. In general I like it, but I would certainly not count it as one of my favorites. That lyric that Angels Tribe quoted though, that is a great fucking lyric.

Great song, but I think that Sad is one of the best songs Eddie Vedder has ever written, and by far the best Lost Dog.

But you know what they say about opinions...

I liked Hold On a lot at first but it didn't age well, so it's probably good you held off on it for a while.

I'll never get tired of Sad, Down, and Undone.
