i'm kinda frustrated to see like 10-15 threads that are really wide open with 5 or more pages.
i know there is a general tour thread, but we should be able to have threads about a particular show. i'm more interested in seeing who's going to NJ and hartford than reading through 11 pages of a large one.
not trying to be a jerk about it, just giving my view on the recent consolidation of most topics.

I think that if you'll take a look at the tour forum you'll have most of your needs met. Not everything that happens on the board has to happen in PJ chat.

it is pretty much agreed on by the mods that it is better to have threads that take a little while to look through to find what you need then pages and pages of repeat threads to where it takes 2 days to find what you want in the forum.
the current tour forum should handle all your needs on finding out who is going to the shows, but if you really think that a different threads needs to be made then you can always PM a mod to see if it is a thread that will be cool.

i'm in the process of going through every single thread in the Current Tour thread. Updating each one's first post with a list of all the people attending. So, if you wish to see who's going to a particular show without looking at the 12 pages then just look at the first post.

OK, this is getting a little insane. I'll read something and then an hour later, I can't find it b/c it's in a completely different thread.

I thought that was for bitching about the album, not RM.

This should go in stip's sig as well, right after "Welcome to the board! "
I think there is just a happy medium between merging and letting some topics die on their own. I used the example of the actual shows. and it was a bad example because i didn't know it had it's own forum. But I can't find the thread from the woman who reviwed the entire album. it is definitely a different thread than the gyu who got to listen to the first 6 songs.
I think a little free market thread action couldn't hurt. Crap threads will just sink quickly. but there have definitely been things that have been merged that should. it's just a little maddening, because now the search tool doesn't seem as effective becuase it pulls up like 10 threads, but all ten threads are 14 pages long. so you can't really find what you were looking for quickly. That was my big point. but from what it looks like, i'm in the minority on this stance.

I have trouble finding that post as well, but that's because it was put in the middle of a thread that it didn't strictly relate to, not because it was merged. I think it is either in the middle of the album leak thread or the early fan reviews thread. Just scroll back 2 or 3 pages and you'll find it.

Actually, it would work better if stip stopped leaving the Forum. If he would have been here to merge the "Tracklisting with times" thread IMMEDIATELY, I wouldn't have gotten used to it being in it's own thread.
