Is the movie about a 15 years old journalist of Rolling Stone Magazine that interviews famous bands(?)

Isn't that Almost Famous?

Same director. Different movie.

Watching Singles just to see Pearl Jam for about 90 seconds is like watching Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey just to see Primus at the battle of the bands.

utterly satisfying?

also the same could be said for watching It's Pat! to see Ween (which should never be attempted by pregnant women or the elderly)

Dea, I think you missed the newsletter thead. Also, it would ROCK if Pearl Jam played the moon!

PD, I would totally watch both of those movies to see both of those bands. I don't see the problem with either scenario that you've proposed.

That joke went over much better the last time I told it here...

BTW, I HAVE watched both of those movies just to see the bands in them. I didn't state an opinion regarding the films, I merely equated them to each other.

Perhaps I did IMPLY something about the films...

Anytime you compare a movie to Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey, you imply something about that film.

Considering it was filmed before you were born, at a time and place you can't relate to, it is easy to have that opinion.

How's that an argument? Casablanca, Seven Samurai, both great movies, filmed before I was born about a time and place that I can't relate to.

That being said, Singles was awesome!

It's like watching Sex and the City and sitting through a whole episode just to see 4 seconds of partial nudity.

And, for the record, it's one of my favorite movies.

But better than watching 50 minutes of NYPD Blue just to see a fat man's butt. :x

i enjoyed singles. i think its a good movie. some of it is filler, and kinda boring, but a lot of it has that really funny underlying humor...

"so then you shoot something out of your penis!"
"what is it?"
"spam!"
"eeewww"

"i installed those new speakers!"
::car explodes::
