this is about the least exciting possible Eddie solo record I could imagine, but on the other hand it's an Eddie solo record so I'm still excited.

It's necessary and perfect timing, least with this he can almost totally get out from under the ITW comparisons that would inevitably come in their droves if the record were a 'typical' solo recording.

It's gonna be a good summer :)

Wait, i know he's holding one in the picture, but are we sure this is refering to an ukelele album? I know there's apparently been one floating around for ages, but how do we know he's not working on something else?

[/wishful thinking] [/baseless speculation]

And contrary to what my posts may suggest, i'd be lying if i said i wasn't a little exited. I was also hoping he'd "pull a radiohead" and spring this on us before the tour but no dice.

He said in January on a radio interview he's putting out a uke record, sources have it that the deal is secured for it's release, some DJ on the edge says it's out in may, there's a gig 'booked' in the tower theatre in Philly for june and he's doing photoshoots with a uke..

Nah you're right..couldn't be putting out a solo record.. ;)

EDDIE VEDDER Gr.Mountain 2011.05.11
SIDE A:
Can't, Rise of Earth, Sundown, Longing to Belong, Understanding, Satellite,
SIDE B:
Washer, Stand, Brokenhearted, Maps, Angeles (with Jack Johnson), Goodbye

Saw this on wikipedia! I like this tracklisting. Some bitching stuff there. Goodbye is one of my favourite songs of last ten years!

Obviously it's just rumour at this stage but this would be cool.

Sorry stip! In my excitement to post I didn't even check to see if there was a relevant thread available!

That seems a little suspect.

Rise of earth - Of the earth? That had lyrics about ....rising.

I certainly agree. It seems very suspect. But felt it was worth sharing. I guess we'll just have to wait and see!

Yup.

It was somebody with the IP 93.62.193.81

Which, when backtraced, shows a server location of "Gorizia, Friuli-Venezia Giulia in Italy"

The tracklisting was also rather awkwardly plopped into the "Into the Wild" section of Ed's discography, with no explanation or context, which leads me to believe this is just a fan wanting to start some rumors.

It was also added literally about an hour ago.

dime, relax w/ the pit-like rumors. matt cord explained he was merely guessing, since pj didnt have any dates, ed was rumored to have a solo album coming out, and he sold out 2 solo shows in philly last time he toured here. there's nothing "booked"
