Bah. Come to think of it, though, The Civil Wars are a Grammy shoo-in--a faithful and well-executed but wooden and characterless modernizing of an American tradition. It's Norah Jones all over again. (I'm of the mind that Norah Jones had better songs, but still.) |

I'm really happy he said that, and he got people in the audience to applaud. Some even stood. Pro Tools is a cool thing, but look at all the classic rock music that was made with 2, 4, and 8 track recorders based on a few passionate takes until they got a great feel. That's totally lost on modern artists. |
