Has anyone ever seen this single packaged for the REM fan club? I'd love to add that to my collection, but I've NEVER ever seen. It sure as hell never pops up on e-bay.

Man, that's some crappy-ass packaging.

That was the Pearl Jam packaging. The REM packaging was different.

I have the R.E.M. fan club version since I'm a member. Here's what it looks like:

And for some crazy reason, there are 3 color variations on the one posted above (posting them so you'll be aware just in case you run across one that looks different):

Well, that makes me feel good that it's out there. I will continue my search. Hey, tattooedeverything, is there anything that would make you consider a trade?

I picked one up on eBay shortly after it came out. The REM version is numbered.. mine is #5173. I'm not sure how many were produced.

My copy is the gold colour. And the first picture posted above is the label in the centre of the vinyl.

I was just looking at my copy and I never realized Happy When I'm Crying was written by Jack Irons.. that's pretty cool.

Besides the last two years, this is the only other fan club single I have and I wasn't even a member. The small local record store that I used to go to all the time gave me a copy for free! At the time I was the only schmoe in town buying his vinyl stuff as it came in, except for the rap, and he gave me a copy of this and a promo copy of Rage's - The Ghost of Tom Joad on purple vinyl for being such a nice customer.

That's how I got my copy too. I didn't join the fan club until about a year later.
