Derek Madden rates Pearl Jam as one of his all time favorite bands. He's been critical of the band since the post-Yield era. Here's the link to the website where interview with McCready is.... only prob is the website's link is jacked:

I haven't decided whether or not I'm going to Outside Lands. I am going to SF for Labor Day weekend, but if I extend my trip to the weekend before then I may get a ticket. I'd really like to see them play in GGPark but heard last year was kind of a mess at the inaugural Outside Lands.

It's a long interview. Nothing extraordinary. McCready says he thinks the new album is very good, but will never be one to say "This is the best album we've done." Madden asked him why there wasn't a big guitar lead or solo in The Fixer. When asked which album he thinks was the best, McCready says it's hard to say. He said he'd probably pick a compilation of songs from various albums. The album he mentioned when asked which he thinks is best was Yield, because that he looks back on that time period very fondly.

When Jeff retires and looks back on his life in PJ.. seems like all he's going to remember is the floor. Bc every picture I see of him, he's looking down.

as someone that went to Outside Lands last year, i'd say save your money. i basically paid $100 for about 5 Beck songs, and a weak Radiohead show where i was about a mile away. they have a lot of bands listed each day, but since there are 4 or 5 stages and the crowds make it impossible to get anywhere, you'll really only get to see 2 or 3 bands. they intentionally put a few of the top acts on at the same time to reduce the crowds for each one. the sound completely cut out several times during Radiohead because they didn't have enough generators to handle the load. lastly, transportation to the park was a nightmare. all in all, i'm sure the organizers meant well, but they severely underestimated the size of the crowd and delivered a terrible concert experience.

Chill out, the joke is about booze and poop. Being a pj member doesn't make Mike immune here.
