I can't believe I am so desperate for information regarding a song with such a title, but there it is.. the curiosity is killing me.
With a title like 'Force of Nature', I just KNOW that song is going to be killer, but this one.. it could go so many different ways, and about eight of those ways I don't even want to contemplate.

Johnny Guitar: Fortunately not as bland as the title suggests. Also a rocker, but with a remarkable amount of lyrics and sincerity. Grows above average but still a very classical tune.
That's all I've heard and that aint much.

force of nature is probably the one I'm the least interested in right now. Johnny Guitar sounds way more interesting than I expected

Agreed. Force of Nature is the only one I am not sure on. But with it being a McCready song and it being over 4 minutes, there's hope for a sweet guitar sol at least. Johnny Guitar really intrigues me. I love the guitar and the vocal line.

If you mean the story behind the song, through the album artwork it was discovered that this is a reference to Johnny "Guitar" Watson. It says on his Wikipedia page that he "...died on stage May 17, 1996, while on tour in Yokohama, Japan. According to eyewitness reports, he collapsed mid guitar solo. His last words were "would you pass me my bow?", probably in reference to The Watsonian Institute."

The album cover that Tom Tomorrow used for the Backspacer panel that features Watson on the tricycle is hanging in the PJ warehouse bathroom. You see it on the wall during the 10 minute video promo that came out recently.

IMHO, Force of Nature builds into a great chorus...one of the better clips I've heard out of the lot but my opinion might change after I can listen to the album as a whole
Eddie says stomething about Johnny Guitar in it. I'll try to translate it for you( sry for my english, german is my first language )
Eddie says he gets ideas for songs from everywhere. The lyrics for johnny guitar base on a story that he came up with at the toilet in the bands headquater. There they have covers of old albums on the walls and one of them is from a johnny guitar album( and there's a woman on the cover that doesn't wear many clothes.. .) He says he imagined a guy that felt attracted to the woman on the cover, and this guy wonders why she's with johnny guitar(who's probably got about 10 girls alongside her...). And he wonders why she'd rather be one of johnny guitars many women instead of being his only one.

This answers several questions including some "chicken-egg" stuff about the promo vid.....
