You don't have to buy the Target special edition to get the songs though. It should be available as DLC from the music store. I think it comes to XBox on release day, Wii on the 22nd, and PS3 on the 24th, if I've read correctly.

Ugh. Why does the PS network have to update on Thursdays! I wanted it this Sunday.

*sigh* If I had known this I would have just bought it at Target. The deluxe packaging from 10C is nice but I'd rather have the Rock Band songs I think.

The version with the Rock Band DLC is going to cost more. The cost of the DLC is $17.99 without the album. Until we know how much the Backspacer/DLC combo edition costs, we don't know what the better deal is, monetarily speaking.

The rockband tracks aren't free. I thought there will be 2 editions. The one with rockband is more expensive i think.

You can actually save a penny by buying them separate.

Target version with Rockband = $29.98

Target version without Rock band = $11.98 + Rockband DLC $17.99 = $29.97

And actually it's even cheaper since you won't pay tax at the Rockband Store.

I was hoping we'd get a bonus song or two with the Target exclusive, which would make it worthwhile, but it doesn't seem like that's the case.

And I'm assuming the DLC will cost $17.99. I haven't seen the price anywhere, but Ten costs that much for 11 tracks (including Master/Slave).

There you go.
