Radiohead's post-OK Computer material rarely sticks after one listen. For example, I didnt realize until this year's Lollapalooza performance how awesome The Gloaming is.
with PJ, I usually know right away how good something is, although there are exceptions (I fell in love with Dissident some time around 2005).
in terms of the overall catalogue though, no band will ever touch PJ, IMO. 70% of Riot Act is the exception to this statement.

riot act is actually the best pearl jam album. and yeah, the gloaming is a kickass tune.

Basically, we're discussing two bands here that for a very long time were my 2 very favourite bands without anything even close. The last years they've both been caught up by others.

I agree on Riot Act. It's criminally underappreciated. And Radiohead's compositions are pretty much in a class of their own. They skew the curve, in other words; imo, anyway.
Both bands claim huge portions of my music collection.
