On this day in 1995, Pearl Jam performed with Neil Young for a Voters for Choice benefit in Washington, DC.

support acts: Lisa Germano, L7 and Neil Young

Eddie Vedder + several of the performers attended a press conference earlier to discuss reproductive freedom.

Pearl Jam's taking a tough stand on TicketMaster and abortion in that stage of their career are the sorts of decisions that can often have serious repercussions in the music industry! But they always did it by their own rules and that's why they are a living legends nowadays!

and that is irrelevant to the whole TicketMaster thing. It's not like they are sold in stores, or are advertised. They are sold on the band's website. By this logic, selling anything other than a record is "selling out"

I just think that they are are older now and they dont have to prove themselves anymore. They dont bilk their fans, and money has never been what they were about.
