Black Red Yellow

Exponentially serving
Perpetually unnerving
Vehicle swerving
The adjectives they are all a blurring
Freud walking the sidelines
Clipboard, scoring the brain
Black magic viente y tres
Makes me sane

Hormones firing like a fifty foot roman, yeah
Please don't make me explain
Don't matter anyway

Phantom pain in my brain
It's all that's left of my leg
Black and red and yellow, black and red and yellow
Heard you repeat a what ya heard
Me knowing the truth i cannot concur na-na

Hormones firing like a fifty foot roman, yeah
Please don't make me explain
Doesn't matter anyway
Hormones firing like a fifty foot roman, yeah

Please don't make me explain

Yo bro tell us what's happenin' um i'm on the west
West side of, on the west coast
Give me a jingle uh when you get in
From where the fuck you're at

Hormones firing like a fifty foot roman, yeah
Please don't make me explain
Doesn't fucking matter anyway
Hormones firing like a fifty foot roman, yeah
Please don't make me explain

Black Red Yellow would not have been my next choice, but Darth Vedder requested it.

I would never put Black Red Yellow up in my elite group of Pearl Jam songs, but it is hard to think of a song of theirs that is this much fun. I love the layered vocals (reminds me of Pop Song 89 by REM), the guitar is great, the jam is fun. It's a crime this one isn't played live often.

I would have liked to see this one on No Code. I'm not sure what I would have taken off, but it is such an infectious little song it deserved to be there. So did All Night.

Why--what's wrong with them?

You always side with Mitch against me. Why do you hate me so much?

I always thought he said "like a 50-foot Rodman" and it always gave me a visual of the time Eddie came out on Rodman's shoulders at the Augusta, ME show in Sept. of 96. I was down near the front and seeing Eddie on this giant freaks shoulders was hilarious

Not much to say about this song because, well, there's not much in it. The lyrics seem thrown together and completely random. That's not a bad thing, though; it's very catchy. I put it in the "fast-n-fun" category with U, Mankind and Don't Gimme No Lip.

Black magic viente y tres!
makes me sane

I'll direct everyone over to Two Feet Thick, because I didn't know what that like was until I read this article:

The problem is that those three songs suck (same with hitchhiker and leatherman). What makes BRY so remarkable (at least for me) is that I actually enjoy it

They don't hate you, they 'hate' Even Flow.

I also like BR&Y more than Even Flow to be honest and i was extremely happy to hear it at London.
