Just a question if anyone here has won the lottery and has a lower number? Just curious on how it actually works.

I won once - October 30, 2009. You pick up your tickets at the 10C window. In your envelope is a row 1, 2, 9 or 10 pair of tickets.

I was wondering if it was actually a lottery for all because I have only seen people with higher numbers talking about winning.

If a person with a 10C number that lands them between rows 3-8 isn't in the lottery, they aren't going to get much sympathy.

192xxx and I got 2nd row center for an Eddie Vedder solo show (Albany 2009). Would have rather scored for Pearl Jam, but it was really cool anyway.

friend of mine with a number in that range got front row centre at Philly 3.. I was supposed to seat with her that show but she took another friend instead (the other friend has never been front row in the US, I have).. and bumped me with that other friend ticket-buddy.. 3rd row centre .. I didn't mind ;)

I wouldn't think so, I was just wondering if it has happened.

I thought they distribute by row; meaning, they do lottery for rows 1-2, then distribute rows 3-8 by seniority, then move to 9-10 by lottery, and then the rest by seniority (meaning, you won't get row 10 by lottery if your 10C would have otherwise given you row 4). At least this is what the 10C ticket chick told me a couple of years ago.

Really? I assumed they drew names for rows 1,2,9,&10, and then assigned all the other seats by seniority.

This is what the rules say.

Rules, schmules. The 10 Club also said that all seats were seniority last year in Chicago before tix went on sale, and then changed it after people bought them.
