I read somewhere that Bad Radio did a lot of covers of songs by the Police. Is this an intentional link?
After all Eddie paid significant homage to pre-The Who material, which few would be aware of, by covering Leaving Here.

It says this band was mostly free jazz in style, which is how Last Exit starts, is it not?

I'd always assumed the lyrics referred to an exit from life, but the other day this was playing as I was actually exiting the freeway, and the song took on a new meaning. What does "Last Exit" mean?

So what about the line "under your tongue, I'm like a tab, I will give you what you're not supposed to have"?

I was thinking about that line today when I saw a kid at school give another kid a ring pop.

That's my favorite line from Last Exit. It describes a past relationship of mine perfectly. The initial thrill of getting what you're not supposed to have but then eventually realizing the whole dysfunctionality of it all.
