This has never happened with me for a Pearl Jam radio single, but for some reason I am really liking The Fixer more and more as it's gets older and overplayed. At first I thought it was kind of bland with horrible lyrics...but the more and more I hear it, the more I realize it's just a quick pop song (like MFC, kind of...which I love).

This isn't new to me and PJ, Faithfull comes to mind (how did I not like that song at one time?).

Is anyone else getting a second dose of The Fixer......and loving it?!

Well, I liked it from the start.. I saw what it was: a catchy, super-uplifting rock song which kicks ass in some parts, is totally groovy in others, and just puts a smile on my face. It's refreshing to me.. but with no less musical skill than my favourite band have always delivered.

Always dug it. Drew me right it, and there's a coolness and fuzziness to the riffs I just keep going back to.

Liked it as a single but definitely enjoying it more in it's place on the record. Look forward to it in fact. And live it's a killer :)

Got Some is also enjoying a renaissance for me. Hated the Conan performance, love it on the record.

Id go out on a limb and say I like this song for what it is, if Im in the mood i listen to it, if im not, I don't.

I put it between unemployable and down on my ipod, kinda seems appropriate there.

It was always ok.
Never will be great.
One of those songs that is deeper than alot of people will give it credit for. It tells a wonderful story.

Completely with the original post. I really dig The Fixer now and I was one of those repeatedly criticising it when it came out. It's perfectly placed on the album, and is a very enjoyable 3 minutes.

The Fixer deserves better than you people

it's a middle of the record song for me, but still really good

To me, that's a fricken great spot to be in. Some of my favorite late-PJ songs.

I was listening to this the other day and after hating this song for awhile now I thought it would sound good with Tom Petty singing a slower version of it, in Tom Pettyesque style. Seriously.

i want to hear Matt and Stone's original idea for the song before Eddie 'fixed' it...
