I think Mike mentioned the possibility of an EP by the end of the year but there was never any followup and I don't think anyone seriously thinks it'll happen.

It just sort of feels like certain ideas are being thrown out there to see if anything sticks, to see if the other band members jump on board. Floating the idea of an EP could mean that certain guys are more excited about playing music nowadays than others.

Well they did some studio work in January and did a bunch of writing together in March and April. They hope to get back in the studio again sometime next fall/winter. Keep fingers crossed for a new album next spring.
