Anybody else notice at the very end of the song, where eddie sings "beth" for the last time softly to end the song, that they edited it from the orignal?
why would they do tht?!
It alsmost sounds as if Vedder put a quick voiceover on that part....VERY ODD
I noticed this, as i just got a chance to watch the DVD from the deluxe set...
Mine wasnt signed by the way....
If there is anybody who has the mamma-son casstee in mp3 format, please share.....I DONT HAVE CASSETTE PLAYER!
Thanks to all those who tried to help (do not know how to use .RAR)

1. Unplugged -- ended up being edited (like we wouldnt notice) and incomplete.
2. Drop in the Park -- incomplete.
3. The notes.
2 out of 3 were ruined by senseless decisions.
I agree. I have to say that I'm disappointed in the box set. Let me start by saying that I LOVE the remixed Ten. But Unplugged is incomplete and edited and Drop In The Park is incomplete. C'mon, Sony! If you're going to release a Super-Duper Deluxe Ultimate (blah, blah, blah) do it right!
Listening to this edited version of Oceans makes me wonder if the same will be done to the song for bootleg/archive releases. Would Eddie have requested the edit???

Presumably, yes. I'm sure Sony don't give two hoots about Ed's ex-wife. She's apparently also been removed from the "thank you" list in the credits of Ten.
Note to Ed: you can't change history, buddy.
God forbid they put a live version of Not For You on a future box where he states the table for two is for "me n' Beth!". I'm prepared for "me n'...(edit)...um, NOBODY!"

And where in the song does Ed sing "Beth"? I've never noticed it.
At the end. "Oh Beeeeeeth..." It sounds really fuckin' good and adds to the song. Couldn't Ed just tell us that he was singing "One Breath" or some other shit?

During the outro, he pretty much always sang "oh, Beth!" during all live versions of Oceans up until the 2000 tour. It's in the part where he sings "ohhhh ohhhhyeeaa" in the studio version - from 2:06 to the end of track on the remix, for reference.

During the bridge of Once on the Momma-Son cassette, around about the 2:35 mark.
Thanks, spenno. Odd that I've never noticed this before. Of course, Oceans has never been one of my favorites and so probably just haven't paid that much attention to it.

Huh?
In the liner notes on the boxset ed writes 'somewhere in this boxset are written the words 'no shit'. Haven't laughed that much in years' doesn't say whats he's referencing or where it is but we couldn't find it.
