One of the characters on Last Night's show quoted PJ "That girl was born on third and thinks she got a triple"!

Too funny.

I think that line is more of a general phrase, not necessarily something pj came up with...and NYPD Blue is still on the air?!?! Must be in its 20th season or something....

Yup, still on the air.

This is their final season though. Only five more episodes left.

I love that show.

The screenwriter must have been a fan. A friend of my old roomate had a buddy out in LA writing for television shows who used to do that shit all the time.

In "Down", Ed's "you can't be neutral on a moving train" is the title of a 1995 memoir by historian Howard Zinn. It's a fitting line in a song about fighting political apathy ...

but wasn't it Mike who wrote the lyrics for Down (Ed says "Mike wrote it, it didn't make the album, it doesn't mean we can't play it live" in some bootleg, maybe Benaroya or PENN STATE 03)? hence the quotation was his, not Ed's...

it's a great site, anyway, great articles, been there a couple of times.

Pretty exciting finish in the WGC-American Express Championship, Tiger and John Daly are tied going into the final hole, and as they were cutting to a commercial, they were playing Alive.

Just thought I would let everyone know, if you want to watch, tune in to ABC.

On Pardon the Interruption today, the hateable Dan LeBatard was wearing a corduroy blazer, which Kornheiser mocked relentlessly. Going to Sportscenter, John Buccigross said "That's the best Pearl Jam song, Corduroy."

Sincerely,

Ensign9

The Stones are playing Boston tonight and boston.com discusses the Stone's previous opening band's, including Pearl Jam (although it mentions PJ opening in 1997, but not last year in Pittsburgh)

Post subject:  Joey Cheek Celebrity Playlist

That Joey Cheek Olympic speedskater guy put 3 PJ songs on his playlist on Itunes. Daughter, Dissident and YL. He say's they are his favorite band. Also has 1 Death Cab and 1 STP song. I believe he's from NC, like myself. Wow even Olympic gold medalist listen to PJ!!! I'm inspired now to always reach for the stars and never give up, never.
