I got into an argument on the pit last night about the Philly shows. One of his responses was "If the shows sucked, why would they release them as a boxed set!? Well!?"

I think the argument started when I talked about how awesome the 2000 tour was and this dude said that tour is overrated and that "no way the 2000 era Pearl Jam could pull off something amazing like Spectrum 09..."

I'm pretty sure 2000 era Pearl Jam could have gotten drunk and played for 3 1/2 hours.

I'm not so sure 2009 era Pearl Jam could play consistently great shows for months on end though.

2000 is so great.

There's a reason nowadays PJ only plays short tours now (2006 and beyond).
