(thanks to iceage for the thread idea)

I'm talking about your favorite musical moments

1. The outro solo in I Am Mine

2. While not actually Pearl Jam, the vocalizations Eddie does in Hard Sun starting around 2:15ish. I really really miss that stuff.

3. The outro solo in Life Wasted

4. The 'somewhere there's a siren singing' part of Force of Nature

5. the way Eddie screams 'another way moving into the last verse in World Wide Suicide

6. The intro (and outro) to Gonna See My Friend. I just love how sloppy and exuberant it is

7. The start of Sad. What a great, mysterious riff, and the band does such a great job coloring it in (the way Eddie pronounces the word Gray in the first verse is also excellent)

8. The way eddie growls the word eternity into the chorus of comatose

9. The 'I'm a lucky man...' part of Just Breathe

10. The music and the vocal melody in the verses in The Fixer

ok, if I were to pick one moment instead of tours, it would be :

1. "got up outta there, ran for Canadaaa" in Given to fly in Ottawa 05 (i think)
2. Crowd singing Do the evolution guitar in Buenos Aires
3. Esta bien tag in Mexico 05
4. "God what do you saaaaayy?" at the end of Marker in the Sand
5. Know your rights/RITFW/slam mic at Uniondale 03
6. Present Tense at Antwerp 06 (first ever Belgian show after 2 cancellations)
7. Sleater-Kinney opening leading to Modern Girl tag (London 05)
8. Benaroya : 25 minutes to go
9. I was the only one left behind in the movies when Man of the Hour started after watching Big Fish. I stayed in my seat with all people looking weird at me and the personnel starting to clean the place
10. "Feel the sky blankets you, with gems and rhinestones" in Unthought Known

in no order:

1. the second verse of light years
2. "constant recoil, sometimes life.. don't leave you alone.. mmmm" into the last LBC chorus
3. unthought known - really the whole thing, but especially when it kicks into the chorus after the second "..for you to walk on"
4. grievance outro
5. "the plates began to shift.. perfect lefts come rollin in.."
6. "and i'm not livin' this life without you, i'm selfish and clear.. uhh"
7. unemployable, the whole thing
8. the last minute of come back (esp. live when they add a few bars on to the end and mike takes a longer solo)
9. "leave your hatred.. on the crrrooossssssss" > solo > last chorus of comatose
10. the fixer bridge > repeated intro part > last chorus/outro

yeah, if we're talking stuff outside the albums, nothing can beat bonnaroo for me. i really can't put into sufficient words what that show and experience felt like to me. it had everything i wanted in a pearl jam show, and it happened at my own heaven on earth.

1. Bridge into the last chorus of Insignificance, until the end of the song. Hell, the whole song.

2. Mike's solo on All Or None. It's up there with Alive as his best.

3. "How's our father supposed to be told?"

4. "Progress, taste it, invest it all! Champagne breakfast for everyone!"

5. "I'll see you on the other siiiiide....another man, moved by sleight of hand."

6. Mike's solo on I Am Mine.

7. Eddie and the weird guitar part in Parachutes; "and war..... break the sky and tell me what it's for."

8. The last chorus of Nothing As It Seems.

9. I really like the intro to Got Some.

10. The transition from "and just one wish could bring her back" into the last chorus of Sad.

2. All or None - "to myself I surrender" until the end
3. Insignificance - bridge to outro
4. Grievance - "progress taste it invest it all..." section
5. I am Mine - last chorus and outro
6. Parting Ways - 'drifting away' outro
7. Light Years - second verse
8. The End - whole melody...everything about it really
9. Gonna See My Friend - bridge into "astral plane" verse
10. Sleight of Hand - last chorus until the end.

5. Breakdown in Marker In The Sand
6. The Philly 3 experience

in no particular order outside of the first one

Mike's solo at the end of Come Back
Outro solo to I Am Mine
"I'll see you on the other side!" on Sleight of Hand...fucking awesome
"Taking on...on...on", on Thin Air leading up to Stone's little guitar flourish at the end of that bridge (at least I think it's Stone and not Mike)
"I want to run into the sea!" on Grievance
"Blackout weaves it's way to the city"...by far the best part of that song, in every way (music, mood, lyrics) possible
The chiming guitars on the outro to Marker in the Sand
"Gems and RHINESTONES"...still makes me smile everytime I listen to it
That little dying gasp Eddie gives at the end of The End...chilling
"Drifting away...." at the end of Parting Ways

Oh, DAMMIT. Thanks Jorge, it was before 8 am here when I made that post. Guess I suck at reading comprehension.

I guess technically it should be "last decade" since it's 2010.

I’m just a human being
I will take the blame
Bust just the same
This is not me
