Hi guys, I'm trying to make a compilation record for myself with only alternate version of pearl jam songs. So far, I have:

Lukin Slow … absolutely amazing!
Jerremy red rock
In my tree New York
Corduroy – bridge school
W.M.A. Bonnarro

I’m looking for a alternate garden that I’ve heard a couple years ago?

Any other suggestion with youtube link or mp3 link ?

Thanks in advance,

naeco

There's Porch with the more trippy, slower intro

One of the Bettermans from a Bridge benefit.
If you want to go there several songs sound different Ed solo/full band. I am Mine, Gone, Speed of Sound, the original Elderly Woman. Of course Can't Keep.

Nice idea. Here are some more suggestions:

Puzzles and Games (early demo of Light Years)

The Frogs - Rearviewmirror (b-side Immortality single)

Rockin in the Free World (acoustic McCready/Vedder - Tibetan Freedom Concert 06/08/97)
http://www.wikiupload.com/zbVZc4UQ

Can't Keep (ukulele version)

Speed Wash (NYC 12/31/92)

Donato's Dance (accordion version of Alive)

There are also the Molo Sessions versions of Long Road, Betterman, and LBC that Ed did with the Walmer High School choir. Interesting vocal takes on these songs.

Get them in the Patchwork dropdown at http://www.gremmie.net

Betterman from Storytellers starts with a piano intro. I think they did it in concert once or twice as well.

The version of Garden with the harder intro was from 2006. They did a session in England for a radio broadcast that had it I think, but most of the boots have the same version. In 2008 or 9 they changed it back.

The Tibetan Freedom Concert album has Ed and Mike doing Yellow Ledbetter together.

There's a version of Oceans out there with drums.

Immortality from Boston 1994 had alternate lyrics.

What's In My Tree new york? Is that just the 2003 drumless version? It was played not just in NY.

Also, WMA was done like that for most of the 08 tour, not just Bonnaroo.

DRUMLESS?

You haven't heard this abomination? Starts off completely drumless. Even when they kick in they arent very good.

I just call it that because of the first verse. Either way, it's the alternate 03 version and it kind of sucks.

Not until a few lines in and even then they're pretty minimal. I know my description was horrible but shut the fuck up Jorge.

Abomination doesn't even begin to describe that. It makes the alternate Garden sound genius.

At least they woke the fuck up and went back to playing it the old way. There wasn't exactly a resounding groan when they unleashed that. The fans seemed pretty accepting of it.
