Yeah it was a good interview, and I appreciate what they've done. Given the chance don't you feel you would've pried deeper?
- The vault stuff... he really has no clue or doesn't care. Makes you think that they will just find one or two shows per era and release that with deluxe re-issues.
- The four new songs... Why not ask about the lack of released b-sides, or upcoming recording plans, or Death on Two Legs, 20th anniversary plans?
Just some thoughts. Otherwise it was cool they got the interview.

Good question, and a loaded question, so I'll give a few answers.
If we were grundgreport, and not a pj fan site, we might be more out to dig for information. but we're pj fans, and we're not out to ruffle feathers. with questions like the vault, ultimately they'll do whatever they want. they're a band, they're a business. if releasing the whole vault puts them out of business, they're not going to do it.
along those lines, for a first interview, we don't want to come out and pry pry pry and then get rejected for a future requests. i mean, we do want to talk to him again

another answer related to the questioning. remember, we're talking to a musician and not the manager, head of marketing or the archivist. the quality or quantity of recordings may not be on his radar. remember, pearl jam *broke ground* in 2000 when they released the whole tour. nobody was doing that. so they may not have been thinking about that in 1991 or -2

priority and time. you get a certain amount of time to talk, and that's it. the focus was the Brad stuff, with some PJ thrown in because he was nice. remember, we/i have 20 years of questions banked up. you can't ask them all at once.

More to come in October too, re: 1990 PJ from our discussions with Stone.

I'll feel a little better knowing they'll also play The Fixer every night, and hitchhiker once
