This is a bit like trying to get someone to like paella by giving them a grain of rice to try.

But why hasn't anyone said Bushleaguer yet? Part of the fun is that it's pretentious spoken word with a sense of humour. While you're at it, may as well throw in I'm Open.

OK, I'll play and not give a snarky response like "just listen to No Code"...

Haven't thought of the order, but some songs I'd included to the "too cool for Pear Jam" types....

Happy When I'm Crying
Black Red Yellow
In My Tree
Tremor Christ
Aye Davanita
Last Exit
WMA (live from the 08 tour)
I Got Shit
Insignificance
Evacuation
Not For You
Can't Keep
Help Help
Hail Hail
Who You Are
Sleight Of Hand
Present Tense
Corduroy
Cropduster
All Night
Whale Song
Rival
Brain Of J
All Those Yesterdays / Hummus
Rearviewmirror
Green Disease
Rats
Faithful
Low Light
Do The Evolution
Porch (Unplugged)
Parachutes

I think most of them would be amused.

"WOULD NOT EVER TOUCH YOU, HOLD YOU, FEEL YOU, IN MY AAAAARMS, EVER AGAIN, YEEHHHH EEHHHH"

that kind of passionate earnestness comes off as cheesy and amusing to the modern disaffected youth.

Mankind has got to be the most hipster PJ song there is:

"You'll be going out with radio, going out with disco, going out like bacchanal. / I'll be going out with telephone, going out alone, to the radar zone."

This has everything.
