Yeah the new stuff basically adds up to the 20 extra dollars, I'll switch to the analog when I'm up.

Here's the current price of items on the Ten Club website:

I'm switching to Analog with no fear.

Yeah, I don't find this unfair in the slightest.

I can imagine a lot of people will want to remain on the DIGITAL membership, so they'll probably save a bit in looking after those members. They could've easily just raised the price to $30 or so for a normal membership, so I appreciate they've given members increased choice at the same time rather than forcing everyone up. I think I'll likely stick with a DIGITAL membership, for what it's worth.

Are people going apoplectic over on the Pit?

I'm sure a class action lawsuit is being put together as we speak.

I previously renewed through August 2012. What happens to me? I emailed them to ask.

Yeah thats what I figured...instead of raising the price to 25 or 30 dollars all around they keep the price the same and cut ten clubs costs so they don't have to raise the price...I throw out Deep mags after they sit around too long anyway not to mention they're usually kinda lame...just give me my fan club tix and its worth the 20 bucks

GIven the fact the band tours about 5 weeks a year and plays to 10% of the fan base it seems kind of absurd paying $20 a year for the chance to get tickets...

I live in New England so that means 2-3 shows every year or so...So I'm within that 10% :o

lol@ everyone thinking a Tshirt that you wouldnt have bought in the first place makes doubling the cost worthwhile.

I don't have any realistic expectation of seeing the band more than once every three years, but I was really glad I hadn't let my membership go when Ed announced his solo shows down here.

The 2010 US tour was announced like 3 days after I opened my 10C account. I came home from the bar hammered one night and decided to open a 10C account on a whim and I had tickets to a show within like a week and a half.

Yah, that's cause I'd pay $100 or even $500 for the right to buy great seats to a PJ show - even once every 3 years. Doesn't mean its a fair price to charge, however. ;)

The t-shirt is probably only like 50% cotton, too!

Could 10C possibly work any LESS than they do already? Trust me, it ain't that hard to put out a newsletter a couple times a year.

this is a rip off, they just raised membership and if i remember that was bush's fault.....wonder who they are gonna blame this one on. i see my days with tenclub coming to an end soon. since 2003 its been nothing but down hill. i dont know how much more i can take, or in this case spend.

Fuck this. I have to cough up DOUBLE to price of the membership to receive hard copies of Deep Magazine and the Holiday Single?

I understand 40 dollars isn't shit, especially over the span of a year, but still. Deep PDF? What the hell man? I collect them, they make nice coffee table books. Fuck this Ten Club, and don't even think about saying this is going "Green." This is going cheap.

Bottom line is, I just want what I've had for years, for the same price. You all can have additional stuff for the additional price, but don't take away anything.

It's a disease,... and they're all green
It emminates from their being
Agitation,.. with occupation

And like weeds,.. with big leaves
Stealing light from what's beneath
Where they have more,...
Still they take more

How many members of the ten club are there? Say if theres 50,000 and theres probably more than that paying 20 bucks a year thats 1 million dollars. That seems plenty enough money to put out 1 vinyl ep and 1 at least in the past couple years newsletter. This is total bullshit.

and this from the band who fought so hard to keep tickets prices affordable in the 90's and are now charging nearly 100$ a seat.

so my $20.00 gets me LESS that last year? That kind of sucks. I guess I'll have to upgrade and go back to selling ripped copies of their bootlegs at the local flea market.

Doubling the cost to get a vinyl that will show up late and a hard copy magazine is pretty shitty.

I'm really fine with what they are doing. They are promising a big year in 2011, so I'm cool with the new choices/increase.

Is it really? I assume they're just trying to be more profitable or they're aiming to cover a rise in costs of running the fanclub, etc. It'll either work and people will generally go along with it or it won't and they'll have to wear it.

I can't imagine any of those Pit members frothing at the mouth will actually not renew and 10C knows it.

No shit, they're bitching about this on the very forum they pay to post at.
