I must complain. This poster is 23"X6" and costs $27.50. It better be printed on paper made of blowjobs from 18yo girls.

Is that just the lineage of Stone and Jeff? This lineage confuses me more
I don't see any Ed/Mike/Jack/Matt history
I think it's a poster meant to promote a Brad, MOLB, Malfunction, Satchel, and Pigeonhed show.

That makes more sense. thanks!
I still don't want it on my wall
I'm still pissed. A six-inch, incomplete poster should max out at five bucks.

Alright, I thought it was time someone tried updating the family tree/band history. Based on this poster and lukin.com's tree, I started drawing it out, and when I have a decent concept, I'll start working with photoshop. This is my very, very rough sketch through 1994. This took a couple of hours to map out. I'd love to get some feedback before I spend the next couple hours fucking it up.
It's tough to balance thoroughness, space, and readability. Working on it so far, here are the thoughts I came up with.
1) I tried to stick to only the history/side projects for members of Green River, Mother Love Bone, and Pearl Jam. I'm thinking of dropping Green River's history because Steve Turner and Mark Arm really make this thing convoluted. I even through about dropping to just Pearl Jam, but then you lose Malfunkshun, and for some reason, I'm loathe to do that.
2) Once someone left the chain, I don't follow them (ie Turner left the chain after Green River, so I don't follow Mudhoney).
If I find out when I start putting this on the computer that I can fit more in, I might reconsider 1 and 2, because I hate to lose Mudhoney and there are really cool ties like Brad Wilk being in Indian Style with Ed and then RATM and then Audioslave with Chris Cornell or Duff McKagan joining G'NR and then Velvet Revolver and then I can add STP.
3) I can't figure out why I follow Hagar, except that he designed that poster, and he keeps bumping up against members of Pearl Jam.

Also, I really like the concept of the blocks of bands spanning time w/ the lines criss-crossing it to follow band members, so be kind if you decide to trash that.

The more I think about it, the more I think I'll strip out any bands that don't contain Jeff, Stone, Mike, Ed, or the drummers.
