Even Riot Act. Basically, if they stopped trying to rush and scream through every song they could play killer versions of songs from my favorite era of the band.

I would hope they could get Soundgarden for this thing. Soundgarden first night, Temple second night, PJ closes it down the 3rd night.
Matt would be really tired.
He could hack it.
Hopefully if Matt could pull that off people could release there hold of Jack Irons nuts long enough to acknowledge how awesome he is.
Matt is a beast and I love him. But Jack Irons simply sounds better/

Yeah, maybe on a couple of tracks from No Code.

I thought we were talking about Jack? The Riot Act reference is throwing me off.

Oh I wasn't talking about a drummer specifically when I made that no code-riot act comment. I just think the style of a lot of those songs could lend themselves to the band's current limitations and sound really well if they put some effort into it.

But if you think about it, if you put it in the middle of the country pretty much everyone who goes will be traveling a long distance from either the east or the west.
There are people who live in the middle of the country...
Well, nobody important.

You know, when i was complaining about the setlists and such a few posts ago, i want to point out that a special extra long festival set would be okay to be crazy.

I'd also like this thing to be close enough that I could take a train so I could bring weed and not have to be raped/pose nude before I board.
This should be the ultimate deciding factor for the band on where to have it. Unless they are going to provide weed for us then they should take this into consideration.
If they dont provide, the dealers in Chicago are going to clean up this summer.

I'm really afraid that if this thing goes down as one of the mother of all Pearl Jam events and a lot of RMers go and we all have some kind of meet up it might make RM itself explode.

If it's anything like Philly that won't happen.
Well, it depends if you take photos of me from afar.
Plus, didn't Philly consist of 3 lame ass RMers crashing another meetup?
Didn't you meet me in a bar randomly, and then invite me to join you in another one?
Sure did. Thought you would have more decency than to actually show up. But... Should've known better.
You're right, believing a word that came out of your mouth was my first mistake.
I'm clearly the deceitful one here.
There is thing called social grace and it runs a little something like this:
You see someone while out and about who you have an awkward history with. They extend an invitation to you as a matter of social grace. You, also observing a touch of grace say 'thank you, but no thank you. Nice to see you though' and then you carry on your merry way. Alternatively, you join them for a period of time and then make your excuses.
OR
You can hang out with them for hours, allow them to buy you beers, act like a total ass, make inappropriate jokes, be all up in their face about the fact they quit smoking and generally act like an ignorant shit. Then the next day, you could show up again, bringing along a few mates and no beer and pretty much do the same thing.
Up to you really.

What the hell are you so angry about?
Also, we talked for months about having a beer together before it even happened, so your invitation didn't really seem that much like one purely from social etiquette.
And maybe I stuck around because I ended up with people I actually do get along with. I don't seem to recall spending a whole lot of time in conversation with you that night. Ya know, except when you randomly brought up having pictures of me "doing a meat spin" without provocation. Then spending the next few minutes miming a demonstration.
