I don't get it. When we get to Binaural they will probably rate Evacuation and Slight of Hand as 5 star tunes.
Sleight Of Hand is amazing. Get stoned and listen to it with headphones.
Even Flow is great, but just a completely different style song. And this, right here is why PJ is so damn great. There aren't many bands that can pull off music so diverse in it's style and mood. Even Flow to Sleight Of Hand, Hail Hail to Can't Keep, Brain Of J to Just Breathe, etc... To me, I think it's pretty impressive.
Slightly less good/ (trying to stretch this into 3 categories):) Release Porch ( if we're only going on studio versions)
Edited cause i realised i really like why go.

Maaaannn, this was hard.
First i had why go and once under porch and release , but then i realised i enjoy listening to them 2 way more, so i changed it. Then Why go came on shuffle, and i realised fuck, this is awesome so i put that even higher.
I think its because ive listened to so many live versions of porch, but the shorter studio version doesnt do much for me. And i like release, but sometimes i can't get past Ed's super deep voice in the beginning.
This is my favourite album though, i was gonna be an asshat and put everything under Great, but that would have defeated the purpose of the exercise.

True, I just find Slight of Hand to be one of their worst songs. Most of my favorite songs are full on rockers but they have some amazign songs of different styles and tempos.

I used to hate SOH, and it took about five years for me to finally appreciate it. As of now, I consider it one of Binaural's finer moments.
Do you like anything that isn't 4/4 time with beefy guitar riffs?
I'm really hoping Ruddo will provide us his rankings of PJ songs in 4/4 time with beefy guitar riffs.

I think I rated every single song in their catalog in that rate the catalog thread. I like songs without beefy guitar riffs. Indifference for one. Small Town, Daughter, The End, Of the Girl, Just Breathe. Just don't like Slight of Hand and find Pearl Jam is better when they are going all out..for the most part.
Jeff's later album songwriting can be hit or miss with me. Though I do like Pilate and Low Light quite a bit.
