I thought Ed sounded great on Comfortably Numb, but agree that he needs to end the warbling and such that came with some of the Backspacer live performances.

I've never considered that "Goat"/Cubs connection. That might actually afford that snippet of noise a shred of interest.

That's what I was thinking too. I was singing it at work, not sure why. And a co-worker (a hardcore Cubs fan) asked me if that was about the Goat/Cubs curse. Light bulbs exploded.
