Yeah, but Got Some is an awesome song.

we've been conditioned into thinking every Pj song has to be 'about something(deep')

sometimes it doesn't have to always be. Got Some has some classicly sharp Ed lines 'are you getting out? have you heard of diplomatic resolve?' though i'm not sure what that line really has to do within the context of the song He mostly always has great lyrics and sometimes like you said the music around them isn't to your liking so we tend to ignore them. I've never warmed to S/T lyrically either. Gone is one of the weaker things he's ever done for example. MITS is overblown U2 style hyped up lyrics about the 'big picture' Ed doesn't do that so well and hopefully he'll really work before he tries it again.
