In 2001, Pearl Jam set a record for the most simultaneous chart debuts from a single band in a single week on the Billboard album chart. The group had 7 of its American bootleg albums hit the chart. The previous record holder: Pearl Jam, when 5 of its European bootlegs made the album chart their first week out.

I love those bootlegs, so much so that I bought the entire lot. I think it was a pretty good investment.

Me, too.

I was in college. I remember the day the box of Euro boots arrived. Just amazing.

I was into bootlegs at that point, but they still weren't easy and a lot of shows either didn't sound great or hadn't been circulated. For months I always had a new show I could stick in my CD player and listen to while I wandered around campus. Great memory.
