How the hell is "Off He Goes" below average? What kind of ridiculous standards do y'all have putting that song in sub-par territory?
We really do need to implement an emoticon in which the smiley face bangs itself repeatedly against a hard surface in frustration.
I was cranky yesterday. Then when I saw OHG as below average a few times, I got annoyed. I get that everyone has different taste n'all, and that song may not be everybody's style, but I just can't wrap my head around how it's "below average". It's a gorgeous number musically, and it's debatable that it could even be the best slow song (music wise) Pearl Jam has ever written.

well everything is debatable
The music is very good, although there's no drama or pathos in it, and the lyrics can be a real turn off

Oops--I think I misconstrued my point. I wholeheartedly agree with you about "Off He Goes." My headbanging would have been a result of any unfavorable rating leveled against it.

I got it...I just re-read my original post and was like "I sound like an angry douche bag". But yeah, we're on the same page...Anyone who hates Off He Goes can eat and/or suck a bag of dicks.

I enjoy Stone's voice on the song, and wouldn't change a think about it; I really like the song. It's not top cannon PJ or anything, but it's a solid pop rocker.
