Pretty sure a studio version of "Of The Earth" will be one of the sides of the annual single.
Based on...
The leaked studio demos from the upcoming album that Skitch Patterson got his hands on sound very haunting but with strong lead guitars. (Think Atticus Ross meets Ben Harper).
Anyway, "Of The Earth" doesn't really fit this, but it's kind of out there. So I'm just speculating/hoping that a studio version is on the Holiday Single.

That's strange, because Skitch Patterson and theplatypus are known for being very friendly and willing to share when PMed nicely.

Not true. How do you think I knew how to describe the songs? Platy doesn't even know who Atticus Ross is.

How does Skitch always get the good stuff? He's the one that sent me the 4-song Backspacer sampler.

I think what annoys me the most about the "let's say Jorge has the leak so people PM him" meme is that I picture you guys giggling to yourselves thinking I'm immediately flooded with PMs when really I've received maybe three PMs, total. Since the first time Skitch did it.

For the record, Jorge. Today I said it was a sampler Skitch had, not you. Someone else threw your name in there.

Whatever. In all seriousness, wouldn't it be logical to put "Of The Earth" on the annual single? I mean, it would fulfill two things. One would be that we the fans have been wanting a studio version of this. The second being that it really wouldn't be much effort for the band, as I'm sure they wouldn't have to do anything extra.

for the record platypus (since we are not on first name basis) the funniest part about the "meme" (is that what you guys call it?) is that I know damn well that noone is PM'ing you about it.....that is where the humor actually falls.....that is the best part of the joke.
