It would actually be cool if they could give us a quality version of something we all know but dont have one of. One of the better Letterman performances or RITFW with Neil at the MTV awards, something like that.

True, just throwing it out there. Another cool one would be Ed's C-Average version of I Am A Patriot, but again that would be highly unlikely.

There was me hoping for the Stone Gossard salmon song on side 2, and side 1 probably will feature a left over recording from Ed's Uke album

have we gotten to the point where they should just call it the 2011 single and then going forward each one will at least be released in its own calendar year?

i realize that means we would be missing out on a year's single... but i'm pretty sure that is going to happen anyways once they decide to stop doing these

Seriously, how hard is it to sit down for a few hours and crank out a couple throwaway tunes for your diehard fans? Twenty years in they obviously have other priorities, but its almost like they don't really care anymore about little things like this.

Pretty sure a studio version of "Of The Earth" will be one of the sides of the annual single.

Based on...

i think he secretly ranked his favorite 2010 Xmas singles possibilities and came up with this song topping the list.
