10c is having a black friday sale. shipping charges on items is out-of-whack. these are two responses by santos l. halper in regards to messages from pj.com members who posted or pm'd about it:
Yikes, the shipping more than the record. Gonna have to pass on this.
yeah, you're right. Best to save a few bucks on postage. You can always pick it up later on the secondary market.
thread re: shipping on hoodie not in line with other hoodies

"so…the hoodie went from $55 to $15 and you're pissed about paying $11.12 to ship a 2lb package with tracking to NY? Seriously? Shipping is based on weight and destination. Be more than happy to cancel your order. Lemme know asap."
sometimes the things this guy says to his customers is just mind blowing. i've been treated well in my direct dealings with 10c, so it's even more strange to me that it happens at all. but it is a reoccurring deal that more people are remembering.
i do love the defenders' reasonings, though. "With the amount of griping here that goes on by people that want everything for almost nothing... it would be really tough not to leave more snarky comments." "I think the club is getting sick and tired of the same old complaints. "we want more stuff". We get more stuff. "we want more stuff but for it to be cheaper. :facepalm have you not seen how Santos gets treated around here? not only that, but it's no skin off his nose if you don't want to buy it. someone will. I think the general consensus by 10C is that they are sick and tired of answering the call from the fans for more merch and then all they get is people complaining about it." "Yeah, fair enough... I guess 10C is just sick of hearing the shipping complaints when the item is a steal, I dunno. Personally, I don't mind when the item is an insanely good deal. If it were an expensive item AND the shipping was out of control, then I'd care."
it's just... disappointing. and not surprising anymore.
I don't know if they get pissed about "the same old stuff" as they do "the same old stuff publicly splashed all over their board." I haven't been happy with the reaction to my public bitching, but when dealt with through info@tenclub.net, I've rarely been disappointed with the result.

50% of the time any email replies Ive gotten back are helpful and polite. The other 50% they're flat out rude. Seems to be the same on the pit. It's two people responding or one guy a split personality. In their defense I do understand the rudeness. It's an endless river of moaning and complaining they get both on the site and via email. Doesn't mean they shouldn't be professional at all times but it would get on top of me too were I dealing with it.

Oh, come on. Those responses are incredibly rude.
I don't say that to defend Rob. I say that to provide people another avenue for resolution.

With most companies, if you complain about something to them publicly (twitter, facebook, etc), they tend to go out of their way to resolve it and turn bad press into great press.

Maybe I've been bought off!
If not, I could be for an Atlanta boot, a large "circled" shirt, and two kids "nostalgic" shirts size 5 and 7.

heh. while i find it amusing, there are much better ways to go about saying what is being said. not typing in all caps being one.
i was kind of disappointed i didn't get to meet jeff at the rndm show here. i would have liked to have asked if he was aware that pearl jam's fan club president once called members assholes and, whether or not that statement is true, if it's appropriate for someone in his position to publically say something like that.

From what I hear, Jeff is a big dick most of the time too. I also read he seemed like he was done with fans after the RDMN show the other. People from the pit will do that to you

If you think 2012 was a little boring, just wait until 2013! Because 2012 > 2013!
