Just wanted to say that I think Leatherman is an awesome song. I don't know why they didn't stick it on Lost Dogs. You don't hear much about it.

Anyone else like it?

Yeah, the Seattle 2000 version (on Touring Band 2K) is awesome. I was lucky enough to see it at Melb1 in 2006 but it was a total buzz-kill (after following Daughter). Even the tenclub section wasn't into it...

Leatherman is bad mkay.
If you listen to Leatherman you'll experience cognitive dissonance, tinnitus and irritable bowel syndrome. Continued exposure will cause you to fail the third grade and you'll have to get a job cleaning septic tanks to support your drug habit.
Leatherman is bad mkay.

As far as the show is concerned, I hope that he doesn't lose too many viewers - I mean he fucked woman on the show, big deal right? As far as his relationship with his wife is concerned, he certainly deserves whatever is coming to him.

I like the Whale Song, at least the music.

Leatherman is OK, it's not great, but I dont dislike it either. I will say thought that I've always wanted Dead Man to replace Leatherman at least for one show as part of the man trilogy.

I remember getting the Given To Fly single.

G2F was great. Pilate was ... intriguing, at least. Leatherman almost made me afraid for the album (until I found out it wasn't on the album).

I'd trade Pilate for Leatherman on the album. I've always hated Pilate, it's the only song that i really don't want to hear when i go to a show.

Eddie's surely written a few throwaways. This is one of them. Its not bad, but when compared to his better material it doesn't hold up. Songs like this from that era where the music consists of a few simple chords don't rank among his best work.
