If I had sirius I would have just rolled on the first day or two.
the thing that bugged me was the 6pm start time. I read the headline the night before (thursday) but forgot to get the channel number and i had to be at work at 5 am, so i did't have time to check in the morning. So i literally spent my entire ride to work searching the xm channels looking for this.. and then did the same on the ride home.
when i got home i realized it wasn't starting until 6.

Okay so this is a pretty big deal.
They just played what sounded a lot like a soundboard version of Release from the Off-Ramp show that sounded a thousand times better than what's been heard in the past.
Can someone confirm?
I heard this and it definitely was better quality than anything I've heard.
Wow. Uh, anyone record it?...
I was in the car, so no, sorry. Also, this morning they advertised their "spotlight on the bands conservation" segment, called "Of The Earth".
They played a studio version of Big Wave that sounded different to me. However, this could just be that I never listen to this song so wtf do I know?

At around 11am this morning they definitely played an alternate version of Supersonic. It started out immediately with the chorus and then played through normally, but the entire bridge/breakdown was removed. It will be cool if little easter eggs like this are thrown in randomly in the playlists, as to me, that is what makes E Street Radio on SiriusXM so much fun to listen to all the time - you never know what you are going to get, even when you think you know...
Does anyone know if you can get an app for this on your Droid? I have xm and I am loving this station, but I can't live in my car. I would love to be able to continue to listen to it in my house.

For owners of a true Sirius subscription, does it display what song is playing (ie. if it's a live version)? Just heard Hail, Hail and was trying to place the era.

yes, it does. On my display though, its hit or miss if they put full date of the source concert. I also just heard hail hail twice in 20 minutes.

I just d/l the trial for my Droid as well and I'm quite impressed. The quality is great on the phone, I'll have to try it through my stereo and car radio later on. This may just convince me to get a XM/Serius subscription. Does anyone know if you can use a single subscription for multiple phones/computers? My wife will want to be able to use this as well...

Demos?

I heard the version of Release and thought it was maybe a little clearer, but it was still definitely an Audience recording.

I listened to the whole concert on PJ radio yesterday, and it's the same exact version that is circulating for years now.. don't know what the OP is talking about.. the audio quality was the same, and the flaws too (first few seconds on Once missing, first part of Black missing ecc..) It would be really cool if a better version exists, but I seriously doubt it

You should be able to log in to your XM account anywhere on any device, but you need a premium subscription in order to access it.

Team, so far this is really really good. They are playing a mix of studio and live cuts. Between songs they will announce when they are playing the next full show. A show from 06 is coming up tonight I think. They played a nice Nothingman from Mountain View 96, Why Go from Drop In The Park, SOLAT from Pinkpop 92, and are also mixing in some 09-10 shows as well. They played a MLB live song (Stardog Champion) so I'm hoping they might throw in some side project stuff as well.

Once you download it, you'll have to sign in with your account email and password in order to listen.

That is why I love listening to the E Street station, it's full of surprises. I'm loving the PJ station so far and I thought it was cool that they played some Brad. I haven't listened much, but would love to hear some of the songs from the solo albums as well.

So far whoever is picking the playlist is really making an effort. Heard that Atlantic City 05 Wishlist with that great tag on the end of it. And I'm loving the live MLB they are playing.
