I actually downloaded and listened to this weeks show. Glad i did, those guys have a huge fondness for each other and shone a light on a different aspect of Pj back in the day I wouldnt have previously considered. A good listen, if you're bored.
The callers were almost all sane this week too. Bonus.

Good call, I came here to post pretty much the same thing.
Doesn't seem like many people have been discussing this week's AET here or on the Pit, but it was easily the most entertaining show they've done yet for me.
Really great to hear those guys reminisce about what it was like touring with the band in the 90s, anyone who's interested in the band should make the effort to listen to it.

I rarely listen to the radio shows but I'm going to listen to this one now.

I just put the link in my post above.
It's really good, chud.
For anyone who didn't follow, the guests this week were former tour manager Eric Johnson and former lighting guy Keith Wissmar both of whom worked for the band from the earliest days through the 90s and now work for Neil Young. As a bonus, Stone's former guitar tech Scully called in and so did Mike McCready.

Except for the idiot who called in and asked why they play Tampa instead of Orlando...
Dude, it's like 60 miles away.
A better call would have been, "Why do they hate the south? We aren't all redneck clan members down here. There is surfing for Ed, and numerous skate parks for Jeff. Come south, bitches!!"

Thanks for that. I usually can't be botherd to listen to these shows, but you persuaded me. This was alot of fun! I've always liked the look of the 95 stage set up, so it was cool hearing a bit about it.Both the guests were really cool. And mike, as always, is a badass.

Listening to the crew talk about touring, there's the answer to the question "Why doesn't PJ play the south?" Because apparently Jeff has a lot to do with planning out where they travel. Interesting.

So let's build some skate parks down here.
some sidewalks would be a start. we don't really have those.

I moved to NC a few years ago and have no idea why there are sidewalks only on one side of the streets.

in my old neighborhood, there would be a sidewalk in front of someone's house, then nothing for two houses, then it would start up again, then cross the road. totally pointless.

Durham Central Park has a kick ass Skate Park.
They should be playing the Durham Performing Arts Center.

There are skate parks down here.
If they played Tampa, there is the Skate Park of Tampa, which is pretty much know worldwide, due to the Tampa Am and the Tampa Pro contests - and minutes from the arena they have played here.
If you don't mind driving about 30 minutes, there is The Ghetto Skate Facility, which has possibly the largest indoor wooden bowl in the south east.
There are numerous concrete skate parks on both coasts, including Kona, which is also a well known park.
I'm not buying the whole "They don't play the south because Jeff can't skate" bullshit....
