This conversation is riveting but I must go to sleep. It's too bad the Europe contingent isn't awake yet and the Australia folks are banned. They'd keep you company during the night shift.

Though I still really like I Am Mine.
Eh, it's a snoozer for me.
Ed's mid-tempo plodding guitar pop songs have kind of sucked after Wishlist.
I think I Am Mine was the last really good one.
I like the 'full moon is looking for friends at high tide' lyric, but that's about it.
There's a whole swathe of Ed tunes that I wish he'd saved for a solo album over the last few records. This would've made for a reasonable little collection:
I Am Mine Thumbing My Way Gone Speed of Sound Just Breathe The End Unthought Known + the newer uke songs like Sleeping By Myself and Light Today.
It's not that I think they're terrible songs, I just don't feel like the band really gel with the material.

I think I Am Mind and The End work perfectly fine as is.
I guess it's just not a side of Pearl Jam that I'm particularly interested in.
Those songs work better in Ed's solo sets than they do at Pearl Jam shows. The band never quite seem to know what to do with them - they don't really allow any space for Stone or Mike to do anything interesting apart from chunk along the same chords as Eddie.
