I think I Am Mind and The End work perfectly fine as is.
I guess it's just not a side of Pearl Jam that I'm particularly interested in.
Those songs work better in Ed's solo sets than they do at Pearl Jam shows. The band never quite seem to know what to do with them - they don't really allow any space for Stone or Mike to do anything interesting apart from chunk along the same chords as Eddie.
The End to me pretty much IS an Ed solo song just tagged onto a PJ album, and agree that it works better in live context at a solo show. (which is why he plays it solo even at PJ shows to start off encores). But I've heard some great versions of I Am Mine from the 03 tour.

I've definitely got a slightly weaker case for banishing I Am Mine from the Pearl Jam catalogue than the rest - at least Mike gets that little solo at the end to liven things up. But I still can't help but feel bored by it most of the time, it just doesn't grab me.

Matt Cameron is a member of Pearl Jam in the same way Boom Kaspar is a member of Pearl Jam.
Yah, I said it.
FIGHT!
For the record, if Boom releases and album, tours with a side project, or otherwise makes significant news ... you'll read about it on theskyiscrape.com!

That's odd. You should be able to as long as no one else has posted.

It doesn't work in PJChat or any of it's subforums.
Ah ha! that means it can probably be fixed.

Fed up of seeing announcements for Soundgarden dates
Actually just fed up of seeing dates put up for gigs, none of which are in Europe, let alone the UK.
I'm the one who puts them up, and Pearl Jam hasn't been in my state for 7 years.
