Weird, I haven't got this email yet.

I wager you're right, Rands. Unless perhaps it's just no SBE?
Either way, good news. I'm keen to pick up a couple but I'm going to wait til I hear them this time before plunking down cash, I was pretty disappointed in the 2008 bootlegs.
(I'm aware that I just stated in another thread I rarely listen to the boots anymore. I'd just like at least a couple from this tour, for those times when I do.)

I should edit that to 'I think it will be America and Australia.' If they play new songs before the album comes out, those shows won't be available. For the Aussie shows, this won't be an issue.

again i'm gonna come over all 'the pit' and say I reckon you could see Backspacer played track by track in SBE and as a result it wont be for download. It wont happen but it might.

Well, they just announced they are doing the bootlegs, but say "not all shows will be available, goto http://www.pearljam.com/max for more info." But I still can't find where it says what shows are going to be available!

for the 2nd Euro tour in a row, we're getting screwed.. they're talking 'weeks'!! I don't care if we don't get the boots until after the album is released as long as we get them!!

Wow, missed this before.
Please, please, puh-leeez let this mean that someone realised the 2008 boots sounded like hell and that perhaps they ought to spend a little more time getting them right this time around.
This also may mean that the Euro shows might be included, as the album might well be out by the time the shows get released. It could just be the festival and one-off dates that are excluded, like ACL, Outside Lands and SBE.

Sandra, you're not getting 'screwed'. The band don't owe it to us to release live shows. Tonnes of bands don't.

I guess The 'Oo just have better guys working on their audio. Since Pearl Jam went digital with the boots (and tried to get them out within a day or two of the show), the sound quality has suffered a lot.
Do they still do that? I saw 'em a few months back, would get the boot if it's available.

I would presume by "not all shows will be available" they are referring to the festivals. IIRC, Austin City Limits has exclusive rights to all material performed at their festivals. Perhaps Virgin Fest does, too?
I think they will release the pre-Backspacer bootlegs, whether they perform songs from it or not. All of the new songs are going to be filmed by people and YouTubed anyway.

My friend was at the Adelaide show, too. He told me about Love Reign Over Me getting stopped.
Roger: I can't work with these people. Pete: It's the desk. It's digital (referring to the lads having issues with their monitors-the monitor mix was bad) Roger:Digital? That's just lazy, innit?

What the audience does is what the audience does. This is not how bands and management think.

Yeah, they've been fairly open with stuff this time around, Speed of Sound, Got Some on Conan etc.
Though I also won't be overly surprised if they don't release the pre-Seattle gigs.
