As a matter of fact, yes. I have a serious PJ topic perhaps I should bring up in that thread.

After digesting it for a couple of years, it sits behind Yield for me. I'm one of the few (on here anyways) who thought it was awesome.

I still like this album. I still think it's far better than S/T.

agree 100%.

It's better by an incalculable amount.

or, it's a whole lot better.

I just crunched the numbers and it's 25% better than S/T.

i like Backspacer more than Riot Act but i think that several S/T tracks (Severed Hand, Comatose, maybe WWS) fare much better live than any Backspacer song.

Backspacer is better on CD and that's pretty much all I care about.

No, a lot of people here thought it was awesome when it came out. They just won't admit it now.

I think it's a piece of crap, personally.

You just blew my mind. You're right That's actually true! Weird or what!?

Pj have a long hisstory of the album versions of songs being better than their live interpretations. S/T and it's inhabitants are the woke exception I can think of the that rule.

Well played Masta, this never occurred to me.

Guys, Backspacer is plain terrible by pretty much any standards.
