so i'll be picking up #1 then. everyone pretty much has the unplugged performance, although not in 5.1 surround, but so what. i downloaded a bunch of the rough mixes some time ago and i would imagine that's what the demo tape may sound like. and i don't have a working record player. so there ya go. is number one like 25 bucks or something?

The tape is a replica of Eddie's demo aka Mamason trilogy.

I noticed that too! which makes a lot more sense!

mm, looks like #4 for me then..
now I'd like to know if there's going to be some special extra stuff for the 10c members before I put it on my Xmas list

mm, doesn't look like it and if I order from 10c it's going to take 2 months to arrive and I'm going to have to pay customs on top of the $50 postage (even if someone else buys it for me, which tehy can't since my family is not a 10c member)..so I guess I'll wait to pick it up from Play.com in March.

Everyone's missing the big thing:

"The reissue serves as the launch of a planned two-year catalogue re-release campaign leading up to the band's 20th anniversary in 2011"

Random sets of the 4x version are signed by PJ. And it's only $140 on the 10c with free shipping, which is $50 less than Amazon currently has it for.

Yup this won't be the last $120 we all spend on stuff we already have.

There's a lot of stuff we don't already have, though.

People have been dying for a remix of Ten by BO'B for years, and now it's happened. And there's an official Drop in the Park and MTV Unplugged releases which is super cool. Add in the official Momma-Son tape, and this is a major PJ event, in my opinion.

People will complain; no doubt. But it was inevitable that PJ was going to do this, and I think they definitely did this right. You can tell a lot of care and though was put into this. It sounds like Ed and Jeff worked together, which is rad. And if you don't want to buy it then ... don't. No one is making you.

And, man, F. If they rerelease Vs., or Vitalogy, or No Code, Yield, Binaural, etc. ... HOLY BALLS!!!!!!!

Also, sometimes, it pays to live in America. God bless America!!!!! :)

If you think you already have all that stuff, then don't buy it.

You would think releasing 4 different editions with varying price ranges would solve the problem of people thinking they HAVE to spend all that money on something they don't even want. (or at least pretend not to want)

edit: I took out the f-word. That was unnesessary.

yeah, we're subsidising the US shipping now  ! and we get send our stuff last on top of it (they only ship overseas orders for those pre-order things AFTER they've sent out all the US ones :shake: ) and using the cheapest and slowest swedish post when USPS cost very little more (and still less than what we pay) and is faster.

I calculated it'd cost me £155 delivered from 10c, weeks after release, having to pay most of it 3 months in advance.
I'll take the bet that Play/HMV/Amazon will be cheaper (let alone WAY quicker) and they won't charge me until the day they ship.

Sorry I know I'm dumb its not Pearl Jams fault but I don't have a turntable, a tape player or any money but I'll still buy it and all the future re-releases :haha:

yes, but please no more super deluxe linnen folded rare signed ultra mega box sets. I just can't afford all this. Just a simple 2CD set is enough for me, just remasters as disc 1 and vault/live tracks as disc 2.

Although the super deluxe looks nice, I'll just go with the standard plain boring natural deluxe set.

Are they going to remaster all the records? Or only the epic ones? Or just the first three. Would be nice to have some clearity in this.
